A local mission at Refuge Christian Fellowship
Refuge Pantry exists to show dignity to those in our church community + the surrounding community who are in need by weekly distributing groceries in a clean, friendly, and welcoming space. Our hope is that, in so doing, we are an extension of the heart of Jesus, who says, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35)
In partnership with the generous donations from the Redwood Gospel Mission and other miscellaneous donors, the Refuge Pantry aims to ultimately point to the crux of the Christian faith - that we have a generous God who extends His love generously and abundantly. We believe that our Father God sees the sparrows and clothes the flowers of the fields, and so we believe that He deeply cares about the needs of not only our souls and spirits, but our bodies also.
The volume and specifics of what is distributed is subject to change from week to week, and is completely dependent on what we’ve been offered during that particular time frame. Please refer to the list of qualifications and policies below for more details, and to see if your household qualifies to receive from the Pantry at this time.
Individual must attend Refuge or have a direct connection to someone who attends Refuge.
Individual must exhibit a justifiable reason to receive groceries.

weekly schedule
As volunteers are available to staff this ministry, we host pickups on Mondays + Saturdays with an occasional added day each week. Priority is given to individuals with the greatest need and an open door toward the second half of the timeframe specified. We heavily rely on our Facebook page to communicate with recipients of these weekly groceries. We use the Refuge Pantry News to update recipients on when to expect pickups to be ready, what our current needs are, and other general information. Please ask to join if you wish to receive.
APPLICATION
Please complete this application if you wish to apply to receive groceries regularly. This is a ministry of Refuge, but as Christians we never discourage doing individual kindness, generosity, or giving to others in need. If you are aware of a family/person in need, feel free to share this information with him/her.
HELPING WITH THE PANTRY
To facilitate this ministry, we rely heavily on a dedicated team of volunteers. We need volunteers to help Mondays, and Saturdays between the hours of 1:30 - 3:30 (for all or some of that timeframe depending on availability). Volunteers help pick up groceries from the RGM, sort groceries, host pickups, clean the pantry, and more. Click the link below and let us know if/how you’d like to help!
