For the last ten years, the Redwood Gospel Mission has joined with local churches and community service providers to give backpacks and school supplies to needy kids at our annual festivals. Their success, in large part, has been determined by the participation of churches such as ours, who help spread the word to those in need and sponsor drives for school supplies to fill those backpacks. We have the opportunity to be involved in two separate festivals this year. 

City Kids North County: Saturday August 4th, 11AM-2PM at Windsor Town Green, Windsor

City Kids Santa Rosa: Saturday, August 11th, 10AM-4PM at Juilliard Park, Santa Rosa

This is a wonderful opportunity to respond to God’s call to serve one another, share the Gospel in action and words, and meet tangible needs. 

How can Refuge Serve?

• Children will receive backpacks with school supplies; haircuts; reading books and more. Volunteers are needed to hand out backpacks, set up, clean up, first aid, cut hair, take photos and work the check in table. Volunteers who wish to hand out backpacks must be 10 years and up, so that could be really neat if some wanted to make it a family affair. 
• The Gospel will be shared – Join the team to make this an impactful experience that will turn children’s hearts (and their parents) to the Lord. TRAINING IS REQUIRED TO LEAD A SMALL GROUP.
